As usual Maureen Dowd hits the nail directly on the head. She is urging ABC’s Charlie Gibson to ask the pitbull with lipstick VP candidate the hard questions.

Her column called, My Fair Veep, aptly dishes the differences and likenesses between Liza Doolittle (aka My Fair Lady) and Sarah Palin.

On an aside, I was watching the Today Show this a.m. and in the crowd of fans outside, one woman would be a double for Sarah Palin. Amazingly, she, too, was from Wasilla. She said she shared a pedicure with Palin and she was very dynamic. Let’s hope Palin has no twin sister separated at birth. More amazingly, this woman had the same scratchy will-pierce-glass voice. Scary, actually.
