You would think that a P.O.W. would have compassion for veterans of war. You would think that, right?

Well, you would be wrong.

The veterans in McCain’s state of Arizona are treated like crap.

McCain’s had 25 years in Congress to help veterans, yet nearly all he’s done is talk about his own experiences as a prisoner of war — and push the country to go to war again.

“Senator John McCain didn’t support a measure that would have closed tax loopholes to fund improvements at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C., though he surely must have wished he had when he saw the stories last year that documented deplorable conditions at the hospital. He has voted against help for victims of post-traumatic stress disorder. He has voted against programs to provide housing to low-income and special-needs veterans. He did not support the latest GI Bill.”
